Terms of Service
Last updated: March 28, 2026
These Terms of Service govern your use of the Azzor hosted service at azzor.com. If you're self-hosting Azzor under the MIT license, these terms don't apply to you — but they do apply once you connect to our hosted API or managed services.
1. Acceptance of Terms
By creating an account, accessing, or using the Azzor hosted service ("Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you're accepting these Terms on behalf of a company or organization, you represent that you have the authority to do so.
If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the Service.
These Terms apply to the hosted service at azzor.com operated by Cooper Sellers, a sole proprietor based in Texas ("Azzor," "we," "us," or "our"). They do not govern your use of the open-source Azzor software when self-hosted on your own infrastructure.
2. Account Registration
To use Azzor, you must create an account by authenticating via GitHub OAuth. By connecting your GitHub account, you authorize us to access your GitHub profile information as described in our Privacy Policy.
- You must be at least 18 years old to use the Service.
- You're responsible for maintaining the security of your account. If you suspect unauthorized access, notify us at support@azzor.com immediately.
- You may not share your account credentials or allow others to use your account on your behalf outside of invited team members.
- You're responsible for all activity that occurs under your account.
- We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.
3. Subscriptions & Billing
Plans
Azzor offers several subscription plans: Free, Solo, Team, Business, and Enterprise. Plan details including environment limits, team member limits, and feature availability are described on the pricing page and may be updated from time to time.
Billing
Paid plans are billed on a monthly or annual basis through our payment processor, Stripe. By subscribing to a paid plan, you authorize us to charge your payment method on a recurring basis until you cancel.
- All prices are in USD and exclusive of applicable taxes.
- Subscription fees are charged at the start of each billing period.
- Usage overages (if applicable to your plan) are billed at the end of the billing period.
- We do not offer refunds for partial months of service.
Upgrades & Downgrades
You may upgrade your plan at any time — the new rate takes effect immediately and you'll be charged a prorated amount for the remainder of the billing period. Downgrades take effect at the start of your next billing period.
Cancellation
You may cancel your subscription at any time from your billing settings. Upon cancellation, your plan remains active until the end of the current billing period, after which your account reverts to the Free tier. We don't prorate or refund unused time.
Failed Payments
If a payment fails, we'll attempt to retry it and notify you by email. If payment remains outstanding after reasonable attempts, we may suspend your account until the balance is resolved.
4. Acceptable Use
Azzor provides isolated development environments for software development purposes. You agree to use the Service only for lawful purposes and in accordance with our Acceptable Use Policy.
You may not use the Service to:
- Violate any applicable law or regulation.
- Mine cryptocurrency or perform other resource-intensive non-development workloads.
- Host, distribute, or transmit malware, ransomware, phishing content, or other malicious software.
- Conduct denial-of-service attacks, port scanning, or other network abuse from environments.
- Circumvent or attempt to reverse-engineer the Azzor platform itself.
- Resell or sublicense access to Azzor environments to third parties without our written consent.
- Attempt to access other customers' environments or data.
- Exceed resource limits imposed by your plan in ways that degrade the experience for other users.
Violations may result in immediate suspension or termination of your account. We may also report illegal activity to appropriate law enforcement authorities.
5. Self-Hosted Version
Azzor is an open-source project. The self-hosted version of the Azzor software is distributed under the MIT License and governed by that license, not these Terms of Service.
When running the software on your own infrastructure, you're free to use, modify, and distribute it in accordance with the MIT License. These Terms apply only when you access the hosted service at azzor.com or use any API endpoints we operate.
If you're self-hosting Azzor and connect to our hosted services (such as a managed API gateway or cloud dashboard), those interactions are governed by these Terms.
6. Intellectual Property
Our Property
The Azzor name, logo, and the design of the hosted service (excluding open-source components) are owned by Cooper Sellers. You may not use our trademarks without our prior written permission. The open-source Azzor software is available under the MIT License as noted in the repository.
Your Property
You retain all ownership rights to the code, data, configurations, and other content you create or deploy within Azzor environments. We claim no intellectual property rights over your work.
By using the Service, you grant us a limited, non-exclusive license to host, run, and process your content solely as necessary to provide the Service to you.
7. Your Content & Data
Azzor environments are ephemeral by design. When an environment is destroyed — whether manually, automatically on PR merge, or due to TTL expiration — the data within that environment is permanently deleted from our systems.
- You are responsible for maintaining backups of any data you need to preserve.
- We do not guarantee the availability or persistence of environment data beyond the environment's active lifetime.
- Secrets stored in Azzor's secrets vault are encrypted at rest and deleted when you remove them or close your account.
- We process your content only as necessary to provide the Service.
8. Privacy
Your use of the Service is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which describes how we collect, use, and protect your personal information. By using the Service, you agree to the collection and use of information as described in the Privacy Policy.
9. Third-Party Services
Azzor integrates with and relies on third-party services to function, including:
- Stripe — payment processing. Your billing information is handled directly by Stripe and subject to their terms and privacy policy.
- GitHub — authentication and repository access. Your use of GitHub is subject to GitHub's terms of service.
- Laravel Forge — server provisioning for managed environments. Forge's terms apply to infrastructure provisioned on your behalf.
- Cloudflare — DNS management for environment subdomains.
We are not responsible for the actions, content, or practices of these third-party services. Links to their terms and privacy policies are available on their respective websites.
10. Disclaimers
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, WE DISCLAIM ALL WARRANTIES INCLUDING, WITHOUT LIMITATION, IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.
We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free from harmful components. We do not warrant that defects will be corrected or that the Service will meet your specific requirements.
Azzor is a development tool. It is not designed or intended for use in production environments hosting live user traffic, and we make no representations about its suitability for such use.
11. Limitation of Liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, IN NO EVENT SHALL AZZOR, ITS OPERATORS, OR CONTRIBUTORS BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, EXEMPLARY, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING LOSS OF PROFITS, LOSS OF DATA, LOSS OF GOODWILL, OR INTERRUPTION OF BUSINESS, EVEN IF ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES.
IN NO EVENT WILL OUR AGGREGATE LIABILITY TO YOU FOR ALL CLAIMS ARISING FROM OR RELATED TO THE SERVICE EXCEED THE GREATER OF (A) THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US IN THE TWELVE MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM, OR (B) ONE HUNDRED US DOLLARS ($100).
Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion or limitation of certain damages, so the above limitations may not apply to you in full.
12. Termination
By You
You may close your account at any time from your account settings. Upon account closure, your data is deleted in accordance with our data retention practices described in the Privacy Policy.
By Us
We may suspend or terminate your account immediately, without prior notice, if we determine that you have violated these Terms or our Acceptable Use Policy, engaged in fraudulent or illegal activity, or if continued access would harm other users or the Service.
We may also terminate the Service altogether with 30 days' written notice to users on paid plans, or at shorter notice in cases of legal necessity.
Effect of Termination
Upon termination, your access to the Service ceases and all active environments are destroyed. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination — including intellectual property, disclaimers, limitation of liability, and governing law — remain in effect.
13. Changes to Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we'll revise the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. For material changes, we'll notify you by email or by displaying a notice in the dashboard before the changes take effect.
Your continued use of the Service after any changes constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms. If you don't agree with the changes, you should stop using the Service and close your account.
14. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Texas, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any disputes arising under these Terms shall be resolved exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Texas, and you consent to the personal jurisdiction of those courts.
If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue in full force and effect.
